 An international oil and gas exploration and production company have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Drilling Engineer
The person appointed will lead a team of drilling/completion and well test engineers in planning and supporting the safe and efficient delivery of development, exploration and appraisal wells offshore in Nigeria.
Operations include, high angle/extended reach drilling, casing cementations (long cement columns), drilling depleted reservoirs, use of splitter wellhead technology, potential for deep leg penetrations third party staff, service and equipment quality, complex supply chain and logistics and interaction with other (G&G) departments.
Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years industry experience, with 5 in a similar position, extensive experience involving jack-up operations, ideally knowledge of semi's and onshore operations and West African experience.
If you have strong drive for continuous performance improvement, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership skills in a multi-cultural society, completion and testing experience, the ability to work under sustained high workload, meet tight deadlines yet still deliver quality work, competency with drilling engineering software, proficiency with spreadsheets, word processors and presentation software, project management skills, excellent knowledge of drilling engineering and international industry standards ideally with a large international operator, good organisation and project management skills and contracts and contractor management please get in touch.
