 A leading global Oil & Gas Company have a need for a Completion Engineer to carry out all engineering activity related to planning, program generation and execution of completion operations within the wells team. This role reports directly to the Completion Engineering Team Leader.
The person appointed will take responsibility for planning and executing a completion well designs programme, prepare cost estimates and cost control for completion activities, evaluate execution and operational performance, ensure completion programs and program amendments are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed, liaise with appropriate teams to ensure completion design is fit for purpose, provide onsite support for key completion operations, provide engineering support for completion operations, implement best practices as identified in engineering & operational studies, perform post-analyses and benchmarking studies, assure adequate third party Quality Assurance and Quality Control, recommend and conduct engineering studies to improve completion operational performance, ensure appropriate assurance and review of the completion design and work plan and coach and mentor junior completion engineers to ensure appropriate technical development and prepare end of well reports.
It is essential that candidates have a Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, a strong track record as a Completion or Production Engineer including expertise in at least in completion design in either fracture stimulation, open hole or cased hole sand control completion equipment. Candidates must also have broad experience with the design and execution of completions for oil or gas wells for an operator or major service provider, experience working with third party service providers and experience with selection of completion equipment including materials requirements.
Applications will only be considered from candidates with the IWCF Well Control certificate or equivalent and competence with Landmark well engineering software packages. Successful candidates will also need to demonstrate competency in sand control knowledge, flow assurance issues, understanding of inflow performance, experience of working with third party service providers, participation in continuous improvement processes, experience working with pore pressure and fracture gradient.
