The Geophysicist's primary role is to execute the reservoir development planning work program to support the asset.
Responsibilities:
Geophysics and Seismic Interpretation
- 3D Seismic Survey Planning and Acquisition
- Seismic Processing
- Regional and detailed interpretation and mapping of 2D and 3D seismic data
- 3D visualisation of seismic data
- Pre-stack seismic interpretation
- Seismic Amplitudes and AVO theory and applications
- Single and multi-attribute analysis
- VSP planning, acquisition, processing and interpretation
- Seismic Inversion and reservoir characterization
- 2-D seismic modeling
- Seismic and well velocity analysis
- Depth conversion of time data
Reservoir Development Planning
- Well Sequencing / Risk Mitigation
- FDP Update/ Update Requirements
- Platform Location/Geohazard Mitigation
- Uncertainty / Scenario Analysis
- Appraisal Well Planning / Prospect Risking
Integrating Data / Cross Discipline Interaction
- Reservoir Engineering Principals
- Geology and Geological Modelling (Geological correlation, structural geology, sedimentation of fluvial / deltaic sandstones)
- Petrophysics/ Log Analysis/Formation Evaluation
- Drilling Engineering
- Production Engineering, Completions and Equipment
Technical Reporting
- Preparation and co-ordination of documents e.g. FDPs, well proposals, Management and Shareholder presentations
Qualifications:-
• Honor Degree or M.Sc in Reservoir Engineering or Geoscience
• Field development operating and operational experience
• Knowledge and / or experience of geo-modeling and geo-science interpretation techniques
• Experience in reservoir development planning & production forecasting
• Good understanding of all subsurface and related surface issues
• Seismic processing and acquisition experience
