Staff TP Operations Safety

Job Purpose:
Provide technical leadership, guidance, advice and value-added solutions on the implementation of comprehensive and effective safety management programmes and practices, to ensure safe and reliable operations in compliance with Group HSE Policies, PTS and applicable legislative acts and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Facilitate and implement safety programs/initiatives towards enhancement of safety performance and standards throughout PETRONAS Group, including Contractors.
• Review designs to ensure safety risks are eliminated or reduced to meet the safety requirements of PETRONAS and regulatory bodies.
• Assess and provide innovative technical solutions for prevention/control of safety incidents throughout all phases of project life, i.e. from design, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and abandonment.
• Provide advice towards establishment of safety policies, standards and practices including review of training modules.
• Conduct safety assurance/audit to assess effectiveness or compliance to policies, standards and systems and provide recommendations.
• Develop or review technical standards for Operations Safety Management
• Identify/develop/review training modules/requirements for Operations Safety Management
• Undertake coaching and training for Operations Safety Management
• Conduct competency assessment for Operations Safety Management
  
Job Requirement:
• Degree/M. Sc./Ph. D. in Physical Science or Engineering discipline
• 8 -20 years related working experience in oil and gas industry
• Able to leverage on industry's best practices and share experiences
• Patience and passion for knowledge transfer
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good at planning and organizing
