Senior Reservoir Engineer
We are still looking for 2 Senior Reservoir Engineers. These positions require relocation to Santa Barbara, CA or Bakersfield, CA
Responsibilities:
This Engineering position will report to the Engineering/Development Manager and will provide Reservoir Engineering expertise / support for on & off shore assets within the domain of our Southern California Region. Assists production personnel with daily operations to optimize producing rates and cash flow. Design, prepare and execute data collection programs to obtain information required to analyze well performance. In selected reservoirs, be able to use reservoir modeling to evaluate performance and determine potential for major development projects such as waterflood or infill drilling. Perform economic evaluations of all potential development and exploration projects. The role provides technical and economic analysis of development plans as well as coordinates with development team members to ensure goals are achieved. This position will be based in the Santa Barbara, CA regional headquarters and reports to the engineering manager.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates for the position will have a long work history within E&P companies. Also prefer experiences in off-shore and on-shore operations, heavy oil, sour, low API, high water cut production from unconventional plays. Must have a solid understanding of multiphase fluid flow, wellbore hydraulics, reservoir characterization and economic analysis. Should have designed and knowledge of gas lift and ESPs with these operating conditions. California work is also preferred as well as horizontal well background. Shale experience a big plus.
Must have a Petroleum Engineering or related degree(s) and (prefer 10 years) of relevant work experience in Production companies.
