JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Principal Accountabilities
•To develop the Project Quality Plan and Quality Control Systems, and to monitor implementation.
•To develop, implement and monitor QA relevant to internal Client project Team activities.
•To develop and implement an audit programme to monitor compliance to the Project Quality Management System.
•To develop specifications for the Contract Quality Plans and Manuals for the Contracts awarded within the Project.
•To specify quality requirements for the pre-qualification and tendering exercises and evaluate Bidders' Quality Systems.
•To perform quality audits and assessments against the quality requirements of the Project, the Contractors and the Contracts.
•To manage the QA/QC personnel assigned to the Project Team, and their activities in Contractor's design offices, at Vendor's works and on site.
•To act as focal point for non-conformance reporting, and verify that corrective actions are taken to achieve compliance with the relevant systems and specifications.
•To act as the QA Focal Point for the review and acceptance of the Certification Packages and contractors' hand-over data.
•To act as Focal Point for the review of completeness of data and documentation on hand-over to the Asset Holder, in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 system.
•Manage HSE, ensuring incident-free QA/QC activities throughout the project.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
•BSc or equivalent in Engineering or Metallurgy.
•Minimum of 12 years experience in engineering design and construction in the oil and gas process industry, of which at least 5 years as a Quality Assurance engineer in a major oil & gas project.
•Lead auditor/assessor certification related to BS5750/ISO9001
•Competent in inspection of welding and other site construction work, and in preparation and implementation of Quality Assurance procedures on a large oil & gas project.
•Good working knowledge of welding techniques, N.D.T. techniques, metallurgy and inspection.
•Familiarity with relevant standards relating to QA such as BS 5750 / ISO 9001.
•Ability to communicate effectively with people, and interface with other disciplines
•Self-starting ability and the drive necessary to lead a QA/QC team on a large and complex project like Assa North Project.
