The description of this position is as follows:
- The drilling optimization engineer will be responsible for the real time mitigation of drilling inefficiencies for WPDA jobs via a remote monitoring environment or onsite as required.
- This role identifies inefficiencies or deviations in the real time data trends, postulates as to the cause of the inefficiency or deviation, and makes recommendations to the designated client drilling personnel as to changes in the drilling parameters and practices that will mitigate or correct the inefficiency.
- This position will also collect and analyze the available data to prepare and present pre-well and post well reports.
The requirements for this position are as follows:
- BS in petroleum engineering.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite along with a minimum of 4 years of field experience in drilling or drilling related services along with drilling mechanics and operations.
- The qualified candidate must be able to perform well under pressure, be able to multi-task, and work in a team environment.
