Job Description:
SHOP TECHNICIAN/TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
Edmonton

Packers Plus is the pioneer of open hole, multi-stage horizontal fracturing and we provide technology-based solutions to the oil and gas industry around the world.  We are looking for an International Technical Assistant in our Edmonton Manufacturing office.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Complete International order sheets
• Price international equipment and update in NAV
• Verify incoming Purchase Orders against Sales Orders  
• Prepare Quality Assurance documentation for  tools
• Perform final quality check of assembled equipment
• Participate in all pre-job requirement meetings
• Verify Pressure, Shear and Torque charts
• Communicate crating requirements with crating companies
• Ship international tools accurately and on time
• Schedule priority manufacturing as required

     Educational Requirements
• Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Petroleum), or equivalent experience

     Competencies, Skills and Experience
• Previous experience within the oil and gas industry with knowledge of down hole tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of Oilfield terminology and processes an asset
• Mechanically inclined
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely when requesting or providing information
• Detail orientated, meticulous record keeper
• Ability to build and  maintain relationships with customers
• Adaptable and effective in a very fast paced and dynamic work environment
• Strong ability to manage projects effectively in order to maintain efficiency
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
