PDMS Administrator - Cats/Specs

Location: Houston, TX 77079

Job Description:
1.) Assist in the development of Project PDMS Execution Plans 2.) Follow established PDMS standards 3.) Assist in the setup of PDMS and related systems 4.) Participate in the coordination of Support Teams (EDMS, SPI, etc.) 5.) Assist in maintaining the PDMS project 6.) Provide direction and support to designers 7.) Facilitate Design Reviews 8.) Provide ad hoc reports from PDMS or related databases

Assist in maintaining project Cats and Specs database and assist with project administration duties. Assist in creation and maintenance of project and company PML's, scripts, programs, and applications.

Trains new users and provides refresher courses for more experienced CAD operators. Assists in guiding lower level CAD Analysts within the unit.

Writes and helps ensure implementation of the CAD unit's standards and guidelines. Prepares reports for presentation to users.

Develops new software and supports existing software. Responds to the CAD operators for new systems to meet current and future needs. Keeps abreast of new and developing technologies and how they might be adapted for use within the Company. Coordinates installation of new systems with user schedules.

Troubleshoots the more difficult system problems. Identifies and analyzes problem areas. Develops alternate solutions for resolution. Selects and implements most efficient correction. Develops staffing schedules to ensure the most advantageous utilization of available equipment.

Assists in developing plans for hardware and/or software purchases.

Job Requirements
BA/BS in related field or applicable discipline preferred, or equivalent years experience. Thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted procedures. Generally 7-10 years of experience.
