Job Description:
Axon Pressure Products is a leading supplier of products, systems and services for onshore and offshore drilling and production with a 30-year history in the oil and gas industry. From system design to individual products to technical support, we offer a wide range of drilling products, control products and pressure control products for both surface and subsea applications. Repair and refurbishment services are also available, as well as a broad range of replacement parts, where a dedicated team is ready to answer questions and offer real solutions. We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Perform design calculations, as well as improve existing calculation methods, for products and components related to assigned tasks.
• Determine and establish specifications through engineering calculations and layouts; prepare or follow up on preparation of required drawings and engineering changes; develop detailed material lists related to work assigned.
• Assist in the test of product and components, analyze and evaluate test results and develop test conclusion; provide technical support for the resolution of design issues to ensure manufacturability of the product.
• Maintain engineering records and files for future availability in company database.
• Prepare test and assembly procedures and data packages.
• Consult and coordinate activities with other departments to ensure product delivery in accordance with design requirements while maintaining project cost and schedule requirements.
• Must be able and willing to travel to such locations as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years mechanical design experience, or related experience in a manufacturing environment required; oilfield manufacturer preferred
• Must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD systems, personal computers and Microsoft software packages
• Must be knowledgeable of applicable codes and standards (API, DNV, ABS)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
