Marine Well Containment Company (MWCC) is a not-for-profit, independent company with headquarters in Houston, that provides well containment equipment and technology in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. As the leader in deepwater well containment in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, the company is committed to being continuously ready to respond to a well control incident in the Gulf and is committed to advancing its capabilities to keep pace with its members' needs. Membership is open to all oil and gas operators in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide procurement services including writing contracts, and the procurement of services and materials. Responsible for the proper execution of contracts and approved agreements with vendors and service providers.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not limited to):
• Develop contract strategies and leads MWCC/Vendor good and services negotiation efforts
• Establish contracts and ensures consistency of contract and procurement administration throughout all MWCC functions
• Manage and supervise the preparation, interpretation, standardization and implementation of contracts
• Review prepared contracts to ensure accurate interpretation and the inclusion of company standard terms and conditions
• Check and ensure all tender procedures and activities are pursuant to established company procedures to ensure smooth and adequate tenders
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree required (Engineering or Business Administration)
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry
• Functional knowledge SAP module used in procurement/purchasing and managing contracts
• Experience on oil/gas and/or petrochemical operations and maintenance contracting
• Demonstrated knowledge of contracting practices, procurement practices and principles applied by major oil/gas companies
• Experience in composing and managing major contracts
• Ability to travel in the Gulf Coast Region
