JOB TITLE: HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL & SECUIRTY SPECIALIST LOCATION: BOSSIER CITY, LA US LAND HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT & SECURITY Our HSE&S professionals partner with managers across all departments and every business segment to develop specific programs tailored to meet local needs aligned with corporate goals. ROLE SYNOPSIS Manages and executes Environmental, Health, Safety and Security programs to ensure practical, cost-effective measures are in place within the workplace, a Safety Culture exists to ensure employees are accountable and responsible for health, safety and environmental conditions and practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES - Manages the safety, environmental;, health & security programs for multiple facilities for five (5) product lines within the region to include, but not limited to: drilling fluids, mud, specialty and production chemicals, wireline and oil tools.
- Leads and supervise approx. 300+ employees across the region with regard to HSE&S
- Works to ensure compliance with government laws and regulations and BHI policies
- Handles more difficult, complex assignments involving performing audits and inspections
- Assists management in the develop procedures based on regulatory and/or client requirements and process improvement
- Assists in responding to inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies and/or community groups
- Experience with Audit programs and process and management systems
- Handles special projects, as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Associates degree and 5-6 years experience within an HSE&S Environment, preferably within the oil & gas industry
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-6 years experience within HSE (Safety, DOT, regulatory, etc.)
- Associate level HSE Certification preferred
- Strong MS Office skills (Word & Excel)
- Visiting rig sites, inspections and audits
- DOT knowledge, OSHA, HAZMAT, EPA
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Thorough understanding of regulations and the regulatory process
- Strong analytical; verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
- Strong presentation skills using PowerPoint
OTHER DETAILS - Domestic Travel approx. 60%, some overnight travel to be expected
- May work in the dirt/rig sites; wearing PPE/HSE attire
