Role Synopsis Baker Hughes offers opportunities for qualified people who want to grow in our high performance organization. We are currently recruiting for a Fluid Procurement Supervisor to join the Baker Hughes team supporting our Manufacturing Department located at our Rankin Road facility in Houston, TX. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities With minimal oversight, supervises fluids procurement staff to develop and implement best practices ensuring operational excellence. Oversees the data mining and analysis of data in support of buyers and management utilizing SAP. Oversees daily activities of buyers. Independently prepares presentations. Participates on team negotiations with suppliers. Implements improvements to procurement policies. Monitors BHI and supplier compliance and performance against established contracts and processes. Fosters active daily use of continuous improvement tools to improve HS&E, quality, delivery, financial performance, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. Handles special projects as assigned, which will be broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes health, safety and environmental policies, legal compliance requirements and Baker Hughes core values. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years' of fluids procurement, sourcing or similar experience, including 1+ years' experience in a leadership role. Applies stand-alone knowledge of purchasing practices, principles and procedures. Detailed knowledge of sourced goods and services, suppliers, and market trends. Exceptional analytical, project management, negotiation, facilitation, and customer service skills. Energetic self-starter with excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and planning skills. Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including use of modelling and database functionality in Excel. Prior experience with SAP. Desired/Preferred Qualifications Prefer experience in SAP OM module.
