 An industry leader in the supply of electronic manufacturing services located in the Sugar Land area has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to add to their team.
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will perform functions related to processing new products: reviewing documentation, technical writing, and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processing. You will provide documentation to manufacturing for the production of assemblies and maintain revision control of all production documentation. You will have the use of innovative software techniques to automate integration between MRP system, customer quotes, BOM generation and verification, accurate Routers, and Assembly Aids / Procedures. Perform technical assistance to the production group.
Essential Functions Include:
• Create Bill of Material in ERP data base - Intuitive
• Create new part numbers in ERP data base - Intuitive
• Review all documentation required for assemblies and manufacturing, e.g. BOM, assembly drawings, schematics, procedures.
• Maintain revision control of all assembly document files
• Coordinate and log all ECN Requirements
• Active engineering team member providing support to manufacturing personnel in assembly flow, documentation clarification, component identification, and problems arising from day to day assembly activities.
Key Requirements for this Direct Hire position are:
• A Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
• Knowledge of manufacturing concepts and assembly operations
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Bills of Materials and Engineering Change Notices
• Interpretation of complex electrical, mechanical or electro mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Windows XP and MS Excel
• MRP/ERP Systems experience a plus
• Manufacturing Execution Software a plus
• Manufacturing of electronic assemblies a plus
Pay is dependent on your level of experience.
