Our major oil and gas client is seeking an Offshore Wells HSE Site Lead for a long term opportunity in the Gulf of Mexico.
Responsibilities:
Plan, Prioritize & Schedule
• Assists onsite Well Site Leader with the bridging of contractors' HSSE programs to requirements
• Actively engages with the facilities Safety Committee meetings; recognizing, prioritizing and scheduling resulting actions for the offshore HSSE team
Execute
• Routinely monitors, participate and assist in identification of HSSE in job planning
o Permit-to-Work
o SIMOPS
o JSEAs
o Pre-job safety discussions
o HAZID/HAZOP (for larger projects)
• Manages STOP, SOC and EASY programs
o Input data,
o Tracking, evaluate and interpreting trends
o Providing prompt feedback to offshore leadership team, crews and onshore HSSE Team Leader
Respond (unplanned events)
• Emergency Response
o Inform the onshore HSSE Advisor of events
o Assist the Well Site Leader n classifying any incident or emergency, ensuring that HSSE policies and procedures are followed
o In consultation with Well Site Leader and HS Team Leader, facilitates incident response (ICS) training, emergency drills and procedural reviews
o Develop responses and agency notifications covering permit violations, exceedences
Measure & Monitor
• Monitor (non-production) KPI trends for offshore HSSE, communicate findings and drive corrective actions to address negative trends
• As instructed by the HSSE Team Leader, work with the crew to implement and comply with HSSE rules and regulations
Optimize & Share
• Identify actions from HSSE audits, incident investigations and observations related to the offshore installation and communicate them to the crews
• As instructed by the onshore HSSE Team Leader, develop HSSE plans in response to audits, incident investigations and observations, ensuring action items are closed out in timely manner
• Ensure the training profile of team members is optimized as the business matures
• Ensure training plans are developed to address gaps in the competency profile of offshore HSSE team members
• Facilitate monthly HSSE meetings to review KPI performance and action item progress
• Provide onsite guidance and coaching to promote continuous HSSE improvement, and monitor the implementation of company and contractor's programs and procedures on a frequent basis
