Job Details
Under broad direction, pursues and acquires sales of the Company's products and equipment to third-party customers on a global basis. Works with Proposals Group to create bid packages. Works with Energy Services Group (ESG) country Business Development personnel to identify markets and potential direct sales opportunities. Establishes key customer clients, building and maintaining lasting business relationships in support of the global Direct Sales business. Maximizes the profitability of the client through matching our technical and operational capability to meet the client's need. Liaises with Direct Sales Manager for pricing proposals. Initiates and reviews customer proposals with Proposal Specialists. Provides first interface for technology transfer to the customer and communicates multi-PSL technical information. Makes customer presentations. Job role contributes directly to value creation via personal contributions. Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in engineering or similar discipline and 8-10 years of equipment design and manufacturing or operations experience which includes experience in sales/marketing. This position is considered the technical sales specialist for Direct Sales in the application of product, equipment and solutions for an assigned PSL.
This Technical Sales Consultant (TSC) position is focused on solutions in the Drilling and Completions domain and works in a supporting role with the Solution Sales Managers and Account Managers to communicate the value of Landmark offerings to clients. The TSC's do this by working directly with Users and Technical Influencers using domain-specific technologies to create a favorable environment for the introduction of new technology as well as a sense of contentment with existing solutions. TSC's deliver live software demonstrations that underscore, highlight and plainly illustrate the Value Propositions that address that particular customer's needs. In contrast to the Solution Sales Manager, the TSC role is focused on building an intimate familiarity with the technological offerings and exercises strong communication skills to share this understanding with Users. In contrast to the Technical Deployment Services Consultant, the TSC must learn and continually communicate the Value Propositions of Landmark's offerings to clients. In the North America Region, the TSC's work to move sales of new products and services through the Sales Funnel, but spend about 40% of their time on M&S retention by maintaining customer satisfaction and awareness of new software functionalities. Strong public speaking and written communication skills are required. Strongly desired qualifications are an undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering or similar discipline, with 2-8 years of practical field experience and 4-5 years of broad exposure and in-depth understanding of Landmark's D&C software. Experience in sales/marketing is considered an advantage.
