Job Description:
Overall Purpose of the Job:

To manage, deliver and develop Expro's business activities in Bakersfield, CA consistent with NA Land's expectations towards Excellence in Operations.  

Principal Accountabilities:
1.Manage and develop all Operations in the district in order to achieve high levels of internal efficiency, continuous improvement and profitability.
2.Set the financial budget for the forthcoming year, in conjunction with the Division Manager.
3.Ensure that the appropriate resources, both equipment and personnel, are available to meet the budget set.
4.Ensure that all Group policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to by staff.
5.Establish close relationships with key clients in the area and formulate strategy in conjunction with the Division Manager for communication and tendering of services.
6.Coordinate all administrative work ensuring prompt reporting of financial data in the monthly report.
7.Foster a culture of safety and quality within the workplace.
8.Ensure that personnel have the appropriate training and competencies to achieve the required work schedules.
9.Review staff performance on a regular basis.  Actively participate in jobs and on the job training of personnel as needed.

Job Context and Main Activities:

HSE:  
Refer to Health and Safety guidelines defined in a later section.  Make use of Safetrak and other programs as needed.

Service Quality:
Ensure that all service quality incidents are reported and thoroughly investigated and lessons learned are embedded within the organisation to ensure no recurrence.  Make use of the Epitrak system to document this and define corrective actions.

Client Expectations:
Ensure that operations are delivered to meet or exceed client expectations.
Comply with contractual criteria and meet agreed performance levels.

Personnel:
Effectively manage our personnel to deliver budgeted activities.
Implement training, development and succession plans to develop our personnel resource.
Comply with Group HR procedures in terms of employment and development of personnel.

P/L:
Deliver the business in line with budget expectations.
Comply with Group finance procedures in terms of budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenditure.

Decision making Authority/Level of Supervision Required:
Minimal supervision required.

Relationships:
Clients - to ensure delivery meets or exceeds expectations and to develop more business.
District managers in other divisions - to coordinate and assist or get assistance with people and equipment issues.

Job Challenges:
Providing a high standard of service in multiple product lines while getting personnel and equipment lined up to meet client and Group expectations.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:
• Minimum of 10 years of oilfield services experience
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory and project management experience
• Ability to make sound decisions taking into account overall impact of decisions and actions
• Communicates and interacts successfully with diverse individuals throughout the organization
Self motivated and directed toward identifying and achieving goals, objectives and desired results


Competencies

Comply with developing competency structure for cameras.  Encourage training in other districts and at training courses as appropriate.
