Job Description:

Exciting Bilingual Senior Tax Accountant position with great company in Houston. This is a direct hire position. The Sr Tax Accountant will be responsible for the following:
•Procurement of source documentation and completion of all phases of US corporate income tax return preparation, including separate company pro-forma forms 1120, forms 5471 and 5472, and multiple state tax returns.
•Assisting in the preparation of consolidated form 1120 and multiple combined state tax returns.
•Maintaining tax basis balance sheets.
•Preparing earnings and profits analyses for CFCs.
•Monitoring tax controls and providing advice regarding deficiencies and opportunities for tax savings and increased efficiency.
•Assisting with interim and year-end tax provision calculations and reporting.
•Assisting with a variety of projects, including tax efficient repatriation, financing, and restructuring.
•The position is expected to expand to include oversight of Central and South America tax compliance and planning in due course.
•Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
•5 years of US corporate income tax compliance experience
•Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
•Strong organizational and project/time management skills
•Effective communication skills with various levels of internal staff and management as well as outside advisors
•Strong knowledge of US tax accounting principles (FAS109)
•Must be a self starter with ability to work autonomously as well as under guidance
•Willing to travel internationally within the Americas region
•CPA/CMA designation is a plus
•PeopleSoft experience is a plus
•IFRS knowledge/experience is a plus
•Knowledge/experience with OneSource RS tax preparation software is a plus
