Job Description:
As a member of the GPO GoM Subsea Fabrication Team, the Subsea Fabrication Engineer is accountable for managing all fabrication of Jumpers associated with GPO Gulf of Mexico subsea projects. This position will interface with the Project Team, Global Subsea Hardware Team, and Installation Team to provide constructability input into the design as well as manage the fabrication vendors. The Subsea Fabrication Engineer will be required to visit and/or work at the fabrication vendor site during fabrication and the FAT/SIT of the equipment and be available during installation campaigns to provide feedback to the Installation Team.

The primary responsibilities of the Subsea Fabrication Engineer include the following:
• Demonstrate good safe work practices as outlined in the GoM Safe Practices Manual
• Provide leadership in demonstrating commitment to HSSE
• Ensure fabrication work complies with relevant Engineering Specifications
• Owning risks associated with fabrication activities
• Proactively monitor progress of all fabrication contracts and alert management to areas of concern regarding delivery and schedule changes
• Estimating cost and schedule of work scope
• Vendor management
• Cost and Schedule reporting
• Create and implement documents and procedures
• Review and comment on drawings, Work Packages, procedures, FAT/SIT procedures and ensure they meet Project and Engineering specifications.
• Actively participate in all relevant HAZIDs, HAZOPs and risk assessments
• Incorporate lessons learned and best practices industry.
• Read, understand, implement and reinforce use of Company's Management of Change process.
• Ensure manufacturing records and as-built documentation is compiled and submitted as required.
• Proactively work with the fabrication vendors in assuring they meet the company's HSSE expectations.

Requirements:
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Relevant experience in the fabrication of subsea equipment.
• Working knowledge of design and manufacture of subsea systems.
• Project management skills to include cost/benefit analysis abilities, risk assessment abilities, personnel supervision, and ability to execute small studies and reports independently.
• Strong HSSE record.
• Willing to travel 25% of time
• Motivated self starter that will need minimal supervision to fulfill the needs of the GoM Subsea Fabrication Team
