The Opportunity
Project Manager - Baytown, Texas
Responsible for planning, organizing and managing projects from its conception through completion to ensure compliance with project schedule and planned cost. Prepare and submit change order requests for positive and negative impact changes and obtain customer approval.
Essential Responsibilities
• Interfaces with customer and internal departments to answer questions, address conflicts as they arise. Conduct weekly project review meetings.
• Monitors job progress utilizing project schedule, time sheets and other available data.
• Schedule and oversee project "kick-off" meeting to discuss critical aspects of the job and to convey order verification and job scope to the appropriate engineering, quality control, purchasing, and production personnel.
• Reviews project specification/ work scope, drawings and other bid documents.
• Obtains applicable shipping release from customer, assist with shipping requirements and confirms acceptable delivery of project at job site.
• Prepare project schedule for define major milestone from order acceptance to release to manufacturing.
Other Responsibilities
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum of high school education, or equivalent.
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• At least ten to twelve (10-12) years in previous experience in a similar position preferred.
• Computer literacy with an emphasis on spreadsheet and database management.
• Experience with Microsoft Projects
• Good organizational, analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
