Cementing Engineer-Job description
• Provide cementing job design, well support and job analysis
• Cementing operation of high pressure/high temperature wells, and deep-water wells or cementing operation of low pressure temperature wells
• Prepare job recommendations based on the available job criteria & knowledge & past performance
• Prepare the cementing programs for routine development/work or special conditions
• Perform routine maintenance of the cementing equipment
• Design install & maintain a range of pumping according to cementing programs
• Rig up and down of cement service equipment on work locations
• Properly and efficiently work with the job simulation cementing software
• Operate cement pumping and mixing equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, manifold equipment, and cementing plug leasing tools
• Perform pre-and post trip vehicle inspections and associated paperwork and reports
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions; report or resolve problems
• Maintains a safe work area or job site by following company's policies and procedures
Qualifications
• Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
• 1 plus years experience as a Cementing Field Engineer in service company or oilfield operating company
• Knowledge of laboratory testing equipment & procedures for cement, mud and concrete parameters
• Experience with gravel, packing and sand control operations
• Experience with carbon dioxide and nitrogen
• Strong mechanical aptitude & strong interpersonal skills
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen and background check
