 Job Description:
The Operations Superintendant reports to the BP Platform Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) and ensures safe and efficient production and maintenance activities are delivered in line with company policy, statutory requirements and in line with the Area performance contract. The Operations Superintendent provides direction and support on priorities to the Production and Maintenance Leaders as they drive day-to-day platform activities.
The Operations Superintendent also provides the OIM with technical integrity assurance for production efficiency, overseas the hub's operating procedures and ensures activity planning and execution is optimized in line with Region planning function rules.
The Operations Superintendent may be expected to stand in for the OIM and fulfill the OIM function. This will be subject to demonstrable competency in Emergency Management and a current, appropriate, USCG OIM license.
This is a 14/14 rotational assignment on one of 4 BP deepwater platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. Position Requirements
- An Engineering Degree
- USCG OIM or BCO License
- Minimum 10 years experience in an operations or engineering role within the Oil and Gas Industry- Leadership experience in a supervisory role - Offshore experience with Marine Ratings with the USCG- Proven track record of performance
