Job Description:
We are assisting an outstanding Oil & Gas company in the search for a Sr. Facilities Engineer - Midstream.

Job Summary

Job is a Senior Staff Facilities Engineer role responsible for planning, organizing, and executing major natural gas gathering, compression and process plant projects with a strong focus on safety and environmental issues.  Provide cost estimates, front end planning, project execution, project commissioning and start-up, project reconciliation, and coordinate with various groups to ensure the success of the project.  

Candidate will be a Midstream Facilities engineer working within a team environment composed of GIS, Land, Operations, Construction, Regulatory, and HS&E.  Candidate's position will require collaboration with E&P Marketing, Supply Chain and other support groups to ensure operations compliance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following minimum qualifications:

    Bachelors Degree in Engineering plus ten years of relevant construction/engineering experience in the oil & gas industry.
    Good understanding of OSHA regulations and industry standards and practices such as ASME, API, NACE, NFPA, etc.
    General knowledge of construction practices such as excavation, welding, lifting and setting equipment, and tubing and wiring instruments.
    General Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) including Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR).
    General knowledge of facility design practices including: piping design, foundation design, structural design, instrument and electrical systems, distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), process control basics, and safety systems.
    Working knowledge of facility automation and wireless communications systems.
    Candidate must possess a strong background in project economics.
    Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with field Construction & Operations personnel, technical peers and management.

Responsibilities

    Separation Equipment Design, Gathering System Design, Compression and Dehydration Facility Design, AFE cost estimates, Budget preparation, Power Point Presentations.  Work with the Asset team, Field Construction & Operations, Other Midstream Groups, and Third Party engineering firms to design appropriate gathering and compression facilities for single or multiple wells. Individual will be developing, analyzing, and recommending equipment changes and system modifications to increase performance, minimize maintenance requirements, and reduce operating expenses.
    Field visits for project planning and to ensure smooth start-up of facilities will be required.

Scheduling

    Heavy collaboration with multiple internal and external parties to ensure that facilities are delivered, installed and functional, prior to production wells being available to come on-line.

Project Execution

    Individual will assist Construction in selecting and managing project vendors/contractors to ensure optimum project execution within the project scope and constraints while maintaining project safety and regulatory compliance.
    Authorization for Expenditure Preparation
    Will be responsible for preparing AFEs for recommended projects.

Mentoring

    Assist with mentoring and training less experienced engineers and interns.

Education

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering being preferred.
    Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.

Certifications/Licenses

The following is required for this position:

Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

Work Schedule

This position may be eligible for the 9/80 work schedule.
