 Talascend is currently seeking a Flow Assurance Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Houston, Texas Job Description: The successful candidate must have at least 5 or more years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry. Responsibilities will include developing process and flow assurance design premise, methodology statements, and flow assurance report deliverables. The flow assurance engineer will perform process system fluid characterization and thermal-hydraulic analyses as well to develop flow assurance design inclusive of steady state and dynamic simulations to address pipe sizing, thermal performance, and flow regime. The candidate will develop reports inclusive of mitigation and management of potential hydrate, wax deposition, slugging, gelling, and corrosion. Some of the task includes procedures to address, start up, shut down, chemical injection, pigging and wax deposition analyses. She/he will summarize results for client deliverables in technical reports and presentation formats under flow assurance manager supervision. Skills & Experience: Minimum of Bachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum engineeringExperience in offshore operations relating to flow assurance and subsea processingExperience and working knowledge of industry standard thermal hydraulic analysis tools including OLGA7, PVTSIM, PIPESIM-NET, and MULTIFLASH
