Job Description:

 Main Job Function:
To provide Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) engineering technical expertise. This comprises coordination of contractor services in the execution of the HVAC design of the facilities.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Supervising and directing specialists and the contractor during the installation and the connection of HVAC System and rotating equipment as required for the project.
• Ensure that the Installation and Construction Contractor executes the work in accordance with the approved Design and Project Codes and Standards.
• Participate in process safety management, including hazard identification and HAZOP activities.
• Coordinate and contribute to the resolution of any technical query issued by contractor during the execution of the work.
• Reviewing and keeping updated, the project Basis of Design/Statement of Requirements for the relevant discipline.
• To ensure that all opportunities offered by introduction of new technologies are pursued and evaluated.
• Liase with logistics for the out of gauge equipment.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by following the Project's HSE Plan and training requirements.
Candidate Specifications:
• Relevant Engineering degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
• A few years Oil & Gas industry experience
• Demonstrable experience and proven track record in offshore and onshore oil and gas projects
• Fluent in English
• Excellent technical abilities as an HVAC and Mechanical Engineer, particularly in relation to a full understanding of rotating equipment. Ability to define contractor scope of work and review work progress and reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills to include formal report writing, formal presentations and the ability to work with a wide range of personnel from a multi-cultural and multi-functional environment.
• Full understanding of HSE importance in planning and executing projects; Proactive approach to HSE issues and safety/hazard management.
• Demonstrable working knowledge of relevant technical codes and standards within the mechanical engineering discipline.
• Ability to write concise and well structured technical reports.
• Ability to introduce, challenge and effectively integrate innovative technology
