The Reservoir Engineering Practice at Petroleum People has been sourced to secure the services of a Senior Reservoir Engineer for a market-leading oil and gas company.
As a talented and senior professional, the successful candidate will provide advice and support to the operating companies within multidisciplinary teams with the target to optimise the production and recovery from existing oilfields. Key accountabilities include Assessment, monitoring and optimization of oil and gas recovery for assets in the Aquitaine Basin; Identifying opportunities for Exploitation including studies, simulation, lab work, formation evaluation and testing, drilling, completion, workovers, waterflood and pool management; Working with the team to develop and manage a ''Drilling Portfolio Inventory'' system for ranking prospects; Total field optimization including well placement, number of wells, spacing, injection requirements, rate and reserve forecasts; Evaluation work with Exploitation Engineers to support drilling opportunities including productivity, reserves, costs, risk assessment, economics, approvals, project management and execution; Coordination of well placement with Geological and Geophysical team as it relates to spacing requirements, surface considerations, drilling limitations and pool management; Providing recommendations on the completion and workover of new and existing wells, and liaising with the Asset team to recommend programs; Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the corporate reserves within the assigned areas of responsibility.
