JOB SCOPE
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all frac equipment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Some trouble-shooting if problem is mechanical or electrical.
Visually inspect and test machinery.
Have some ability to repair machines.
Clean and lubricate machines, including dismantling and repair.
Maintain and repair basic electrical connections.
Maintain piping systems.
Teach routine preventative maintenance to production and maintenance workers.
Repair frac equipment at the well site. Repair frac equipment at the facility.
Work under minimal supervision and relate to other self-directed work groups.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Essential
• Some vocational education preferred.
• Some intricate knowledge of machines used.
• Knowledge of welding procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral instructions.
• Able to work closely with fellow employees.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams including blueprints.
Preferred
• Basic understanding of mathematics.
• Familiar with hand tools and inspection devices.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Understand basic trouble-shooting techniques.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential
• The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather at all hours of the day or night.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
