 Job Purpose:
Manage, plan and analyze the technical and commercial arrangements and agreements to maximize value through extensive market and commercial analysis and collaboration with other PETRONAS business units for both domestic and International operations to ensure sustainable growth of PETRONAS business as well as to meet the Corporate Agenda target.
Job Accountability:
1. Principles on key terms and conditions
Prepare the guiding principles on key terms and conditions and monetization options to create value in order to sustain business growth in line with PETRONAS E&P business aspirations prior to technical and commercial negotiations.
Develop key terms and conditions for PETRONAS E&P business during technical and commercial negotiation to ensure proper evaluation of the contracts and negotiation strategies.
2. Commercial Arrangements Analysis
Analyze and compile various commercial data and interpretation of PSC, JOA, GSA and etc by taking into account present and future oil and gas business trend in order to provide input to commercial arrangement and negotiation strategies.
Establish and maintain key commercial information (terms and conditions), basis and assumption/rationale for commercial arrangements, ensure validity and integrity of database to effectively support commercial evaluation and negotiation.
3. Commercial Valuation
Provide input and key value driving parameters for valuation of assets to maximize value for PETRONAS in formulating technical/commercial arrangement (PSC, JOA, HOA, GSA etc).
Identify, trouble shoot and recommend appropriate solutions to management for the resolution of commercial terms and conditions to ensure maximization of value in company ventures.
4. Due Diligence
Conduct and participate in due diligent exercises for any asset/equity acquisitions.
Managers with various stakeholders namely host government and other business partners and consultants during the due diligence exercises to ensure its effectiveness and successful.
5. Approval on Commercial Arrangement
Prepare, finalize and seek management approval on the PSC/JOA/GSA etc based on negotiated terms and conditions and ensure robustness of proposals.
Promote strategic thinking and skill building in commercial arrangement by providing advice on strategy related matters through participation as a task force member or as a participant in strategy formulation and discussion forums in order to provide input for management decision making
Qualification & Experience:
• Degree in Finance / Economics / Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years working experience in PETRONAS or other oil and gas industries with Commercial knowledge, skills and experience.
