Job Purpose:
This position which reports to Regional Commercial Heads, Commercial Department, Strategy & New Ventures Division is responsible to formulate distinctive terms for commercial arrangements and develop best value for E&P investment opportunities and lead commercial negotiations to enhance and capture value for E&P business and to provide cross business opportunities by leveraging on new and existing assets and portfolio to meet the Corporate Agenda and growth target.
Job Accountability:
1. Plan & Strategy
Formulate and drive the implementation of all E&P commercial strategy and initiatives for respective regions hydrocarbons through market intelligence, smart alliances and syndication with relevant stakeholders' to increase value and maximize returns on E&P investment/assets.
Analyze and strategies best fit portfolio, in various countries with key business partners (both National oil Company - NOC and International Oil Company -IOC).
2. Commercial Arrangements
Develop various improved commercial terms and related commercial arrangements for target business opportunities, bid submissions, PSC blocks offered by Host Government or partners, to capture optimum value for PSCs and gas sale agreements to meet E&P's business growth.
3. Commercial Risk Management
Identify potential threats to value or compliance in PSC and gas sales agreements fiscal arrangement and terms and conditions through a thorough evaluation and performance monitoring to arrest the potential threat and safeguard E&P's asset value.
Recommend risk mitigation actions to arrest potential threats to commercial arrangements through proper assessment and detail analysis taking into considerations of commercial and legal implications to protect E&P's interest as a stakeholder.
4. Due Diligence
Conduct due diligence on all commercial related matters to ensure E&P and PETRONAS's interests are safeguarded at all times.
5. Advisory Role
Provide expert advice on commercial related matters during opportunity screening, proposal/project evaluation, company valuation to ensure the strategic fit with existing portfolio management plan so as to safeguard PETRONAS business interest, image and reputation.
Qualification & Experience:
Degree in any discipline. Degree in Geosciences or Law is preferred.
MBA would be an added advantage.
10-15 years experience in upstream activities.
Possess experience in new ventures activities.
