Job Description:
The Gas Business Coordinator position is a key role in the Mid-Continent Business Unit's (MCBU) Gas Business group whose main responsibility is the coordination of mid-stream activities. The person in this role will be responsible for interfacing with gathering, processing and marketing entities involved with delivering MCBU gas to market. This position works closely with MCBU's operations and reservoir management teams,  gas schedulers and traders, and revenue accountants. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of gathering, processing and transportation of natural gas from the wellhead to the sales point.

Negotiate, monitor, organize, and maintain gas purchase, gathering, processing, transportation and sales contracts and amendments necessary to support commercial activities. Communicate with field personnel, pipelines, marketers, gas schedulers, and shippers to optimize production, maximize value for MCBU equity production, and gas gathering/processing facilities. Identify potential capacity constraints and work with field personnel, facilities group and interconnecting pipelines to maximize gas flows. Develop initiatives and projects to optimize gas flow and minimize midstream costs. Ensure timely connection of wells. Assist with performance analysis necessary to optimize value of imbalance cashouts, processing elections, capacity utilization and gas flow options. Conduct ongoing review of contracts to ensure compliance with pricing, measurement, commitment and other contract provisions. Prepare and communicate pricing and volume information to accounting, management and other third parties as needed each month. Provide assistance and guidance to accounting to ensure that production and revenue are recorded correctly and that revenues received are reflective of commercial arrangements. Monitor and coordinate commercial management issues related to MCBU processing plants and gas gatherings systems ownership interest. Coordinate the organization and maintenance of files related to asset acquisitions and respond to queries from business development, operations, land and other third parties relative to such transactions. Participate in project teams and perform other duties as requested.

    * Bachelor Degree, or equivalent work experience and training, in Engineering or Business.
    * Prior experience performing or a solid understanding of midstream commercial activities relating to gas flow from wellhead to sales point, including gas processing.
    * 10+ years of experience in Oil and Gas business, preferably with emphasis in production or commercial activities.
    * Strong analytical and technical problem solving capabilities.
    * Team player with ability to build rapport and work effectively and collaboratively in team environment.
    * Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously using analytical thinking.
    * Effective interpersonal communication skills, ability to interact with internal and external personnel at all organizational levels.
    * Proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications.
