Job Description:
|
Responsible for the successful technical, schedule and cost performance of a project or multiple projects, in accordance with customer contract requirements, company policies, procedures, and guidelines. The Project Manager coordinates with project support resources (Engineering, Operations, Production, and Accounting), to ensure conformance with customer specifications and expectations. The Project Manager has ultimate responsibility for project on-time deliverables, budgets, quality, and adherence to project requirements and customer satisfaction from initial assignment to shipment, final documentation and invoicing.
II. Essential Job Function
• Generate project scope of supply documents.
• Attend internal and customer kickoff meetings.
• Review customer purchase orders, change orders, and specifications to ensure projects are being completed in accordance with specifications and changes.
• Resolve project related obstacles.
• Generate document transmittal sheet, if required.
• Effect return of project documentation from client
• Record and distribute meeting minutes for meetings requested by Company.
• Maintain Rolling Action Items List (RAIL).
• Issue Critical Path Notices to customer when necessary.
• Provide prompt responses to customer queries.
• Coordinate the generation of Change Orders to clients.
• Monitor project budgets and reports project percentage of completion (POC), estimate to completion (ETC), estimate at completion (EAC) and gross margin (GM). Advises any variances.
• Ensures schedules are maintained, and reports any potential delays to Director, Projects and Controls.
• Issue project schedules to customer as required by contract or at a minimum once per month.
• Schedule drawing review meetings with Engineering/Design.
• Schedule internal construction release meetings.
• Generate material requisitions, as needed.
• Participate in pre-FAT and FAT activities.
• Responsible for conducting internal pre-FAT and Post FAT meetings.
• Develop FAT punch list reports.
• Verify FAT punch list items have been completed.
• Take photos of equipment for shipping records and IOM, as needed.
• Assist document control with gathering and issuing documentation and IOM's as needed.
• Serves as point of contact for shipping and ensures equipment is packaged and shipped in accordance with customer requirements.
• Maintains safe work environment and promotes safety to peers, management, customers and vendors.
• Enter time into Syteline Employee Time Sheet and print Employee Time Report weekly.
• Understand how to retrieve project information from Syteline.
III. Other Responsibilities
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.
• Travel (including internationally) may be required with little advance notice (up to 35%).
IV. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Educations and Experience
• Requires bachelor's degree.
• Minimum four to eight years related (technical environment) experience.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office.
• Working knowledge of MS projects or similar project scheduling software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
