This is a career shaping role where you'll have wide lens exposure to a variety of projects, and learning and development opportunities that will enhance and expand your current skill set. You should have a deep desire to learn and a fire for building your career. You supply the energy and enthusiasm and we'll supply interesting and diverse projects that will keep you intrigued and on the cutting edge of our industry

REQUIREMENTS

    • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Engineering position
    • Experience in gas processing
    • Knowledge of process design
    • The skill to learn new processes, tools and methods quickly
    • Cryogenic experience is highly preferred.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the technical design of gas processing and refrigeration systems for an important new contract. You will join a team and work on P&ID (piping and instrumentation design), specification development, and LNG plant design. The expectation is that this project will take from 1 ½ to 2 years, depending upon growth. You'll continue to support the project on an as needed basis, but will also move onto other challenging opportunities, managing other contracts/projects possibly faster than 2 years.

Specifically you will:

    • Design and specify heat exchangers and vessels.
    • Specify piping and insulation.
    • Work with external and internal employees as well as vendors to develop procurement specification sheets.
    • Review plant P&IDs and PFDs (process flow diagrams).
    • Travel 10 - 20% of the time both domestically and internationally. You'll be traveling to Canada with this first project but could travel throughout the world as you add on additional jobs.

The Salof Companies are comprised of four independent companies: Kryopak Inc., Salof Refrigeration Co., Inc., River City Industrial Refrigeration, Inc., and Acid Recovery Systems Inc. All four companies specialize in the refrigeration and cryogenic fields. They all operate under a single management structure sharing common resources, philosophies, and personnel. Salof is one of the leading independent manufacturers in the industrial refrigeration field, building skidded plants for client plants around the globe. Kryopak is quickly becoming a leader in small/medium scale LNG liquefaction plants, while Salof Refrigeration is the leading carbon dioxide (CO2) plant manufacturer in the world. We continue to work in a thriving ''small company'' culture while providing ''leading edge'' products.
