Job Description:
Denver-based Transform Software and Services, Inc., with additional offices located in Houston, Calgary, and an emerging international presence, was established in 2004 to provide innovative, reliable and easy-to-use software that empowers geologists, geophysicists, engineers and managers to substantially increase their company's recoverable hydrocarbon reserves in new and existing fields. Transform's development team is able to rapidly bring new innovations to the E&P market. Transform integrates data from all major interpretation systems and formats with next generation software spanning geophysical, geological and engineering workflows. Due to our growth and expanding operations, we are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Software & Services Sales Specialist position. The ideal candidate for this role will focus on identifying and addressing the unique exploration and production challenges associated with conventional and unconventional resource plays and articulating software and services solutions to existing customers and new prospects. This position is based in Houston, TX. As Software & Services Sales Specialist, you will:
  • Identify, manage, develop and close new and existing customer software and services opportunities while consistently developing and maintaining a pipeline of business potential through regular sales calls, lead follow-up, industry association and organization referrals, etc.
  • Develop and maintain existing client account relationships to maximize and increase sales opportunities; ensure effective negotiation and adherence to contracts, terms, conditions, etc.
  • Participate in sales forecasting and planning; monitor, analyze and communicate monthly sales data, report sales status to senior management
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in geosciences, physics, engineering, geology; Master's degree a plus
  • Candidates with a marketing or business administration degree must have direct Oil & Gas sales/services experience
  • 5 years of sales or related sales experience with geophysical, geological, modeling software solutions; competitive understanding of other Geoscience applications such as SMT KingdomTM, SeisworksTM, PetraTM, PetrelTM a must
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills; strategic thinking with tactical execution skills
  • Strong methodological understanding of geophysics, geology and/or engineering as used in the Oil & Gas industry
