OPC is an established consultancy in the upstream Oil & Gas sector supplying the E&P industry with expertise, knowledge and management since 1987. We work globally with major multi nationals, small to medium sized independents and state owned organisations. We provide Projects & Studies, Consultants as well as Technical and commercial training.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Leading Petroleum firm based in Aberdeen, who is looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer.
You will be reporting to the field team leader and working within a small integrated team to support a field team.
The following roles and responsibilities are envisaged
-Generation of depletion plans for field segments
-Generation of reservoir management strategies
-Generation of production profiles for a variety of development schemes
-Formulation of the reservoir uncertainty statement and mitigation plans
-Participation in the formulation of enhanced oil recovery options
-Screening of facility driven reservoir
A good grounding in reservoir engineering is required along with any of the broader skills. Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of technical specialists and partners are necessary, as is the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team (petrophysicists, geophysicists, geologists and drilling engineers) and the ability to communicate results and interpretations to management.
Reservoir engineering software required:
1. Simulation - Eclipse
2. Fluid property modelling - PVTi
3. Material balance - MBAL
4. Well test interpretation - Saphir
5. Reservoir surveillance - OFM
6. Well & network performance modelling - Prosper, GAP
