Job Responsibilities
•Leading PHAs (HAZOP, What-If) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
•Provide risk identification/assessment consulting.
•Preparing for, facilitate, scribe, and write reports for PHA (HAZOP, What-If).
•Assisting with process safety and risk management consulting.
Job Requirements
•Either five years operating experience or seven years of consulting experience
•Facilitated at least ten (10) PHAs with three (3) of them including a LOPA evaluation
•Experience with PHA software (PHAPro) a must.
•Experience in reading process and mechanical drawings (PFD, MFD, P&ID).
•PHA facilitation experience or extensive experience participating on PHA teams.
•Process, mechanical or chemical design experience or extensive operating experience in Oil & Gas facilities.
•Experience in producing technical reports.
•Able to read and interpret Cause & Effect Charts, SAFE Charts, instrument diagrams, etc.
•Knowledge of safety systems (Fire & Gas, Deluge, ESD).
•Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)
•Experience working in a consulting engineering office environment.
Education and Qualifications
•Engineering degree or technologist with experience in engineering or operations or maintenance.
•Experience in facilitating PHA in the oil and gas facilities is preferred, will consider engineers or technicians who have been members of numerous PHA review teams, have extensive operations experience and possess a strong desire to learn how to become a facilitator.
