 You will gain a chance to work for a premier facilities and infrastructure provider who have been awarded a contract to redevelop and optimise the production of two mature oil fields in Mexico, where they hope to substantially increase production.The company will be working alongside the national Mexican oil company, where they are currently redeveloping their fields over the next 20 years. The aim of the Reservoir Engineer is to provide high quality Reservoir Engineering work in order to analyse and optimise production. The position focuses on production and injection well performance analysis, diagnosis of potential problems, and the design of remedial and intervention programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance of petrophysical activities associated with active field development.
- Conduct Log Analysis
-Provide advice on perforation recommendationsMaintain petrophysical database
-Ensure that log analysis results are honoured in geological and engineering interpretations
-Undertake petrophysical studies to support and improve reservoir characterisation
Candidate Requirements
-Relevant Engineering degree - Petroleum / Petrophysics / Geology
-Minimum 5 years of relevant post graduate work experience in multi disciplinary teams working with sandstone oil and gas reservoirs.
-Recent working experience using petrophysical workstation and software such as GeoFrame, PetroWorks, Elan, etc. to generate petrophysical interpretations.
-Experience at Deterministic Log Analysis
-Experience in planning and managing petrophysical studies aimed at short and medium term field exploitation activities, exploration, reservoir management and scope maturation.
-Fluent in verbal and written Spanish
