The speed of location, provenance, and quality of Upstream Sub Surface Petro Technical Data have a significant impact on how efficiently & effectively the business operates, and so Upstream IT&S Data Management is a critical part of business operation.
Upstream IT&S operates a global Data Services organization, offering sub surface and wells data loading, transformation, export, archival, quality management, and other operational services to Upstream locations worldwide. The organization has a global remit, aiming to provide a consistent, reliable and cost-effective catalogue of services at all Upstream sites.
Reporting to the Region Data Manager within Upstream IT&S, the Site Data Services Lead is responsible for provision of operational sub surface and wells data services within agreed service levels to the Upstream Regions, Divisions, and Functions located at the Alaska site. The IT&S site data services lead will maintain relationships with end users, data leads and their organization, senior IT&S and Upstream staff based at the site, and elsewhere within BP to ensure service is delivered to a consistent quality, and service escalations are managed in an effective manner.
Beyond Service Operations, the Lead will also ensure Service Design and necessary Transition activities are performed at site in response to changes in business demand and service level requirements; changes arising from software deployment projects; the Region business environment; regulatory changes, etc.
The Lead will develop, and manage implementation of the Site Service Continuous Improvement Plan, driving process, tool, and data quality improvements, in alignment with direction from the Upstream Functions, Upstream Technology & Research, and the IT&S Data Management team as appropriate.
Responsible for forecasting and operational management of a budget of over $1 million, the lead will also be responsible for managing Region, Function, and Division demand and onward cost allocation and recovery.
Operational data services at the Alaska site are provided mainly by third parties. The lead will be the BP HSE accountable person for those third parties hosted on the site, and will work with the Global Data Operations Manager to ensure site service delivery requirements are fulfilled in a manner that aligns with overall Service Sourcing Strategy. • Bachelors degree
• 10+ years of experience spanning Upstream, IT&S and/or project management areas, with at least 5 years of experience in an operational service delivery role.• 3+ years in Service Delivery Management, managing service delivery, and working directly with Service users & customers.• 3+ years experience in Data Management3+ years experience working with external partners and 3rd party
