Baker Oil Tools, a division of Baker Hughes has an opening for an Operations Engineer position to be based in Sydney, Australia.

Responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Recording and responding to Company's technical enquiries.
  • Recording Customer Feedback and co-ordinating responses.
  • Weekly reviews of completion equipment order, preparation, and installation status.
  • Correct Specification of Baker equipment.
  • Management of equipment qualification if applicable.
  • Preparation and monitoring of Open Hole and Cased Hole Completion procedures.
  • Assist Co-ordination of Baker operations.
  • Directly assisting the Baker Hughes Coordinators in equipment preparation.
  • Installation (End of Well) reports.
  • Participation in well design reviews to optimize designs and procedures.
  • Provide technology updates.
  • Provision of Tubemove and Torque and Drag calculations.
  • Assist in Management of inventory and spares.
Requirements of this position include:
  • Bachelor Degree in Petroleum, Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience Completions Operations (Tools and Hydraulics).
  • Extensive knowledge in Baker Oil Tools product lines (Open and Cased Hole Completions / Sand Control / Wellbore Interventions / IWS)
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems of complex nature within the project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including good knowledge of MS Office software package, company-specific databases, and internet research.
  • Working knowledge of completions applications and systems optimization methodology.
  • Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated and self-supportive.
