JOB TITLE: HSE SPECIALIST II, Oilfield Industry
LOCATION: Williston, North Dakota

Role Synopsis:
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and "people" skills.
During the typical day, the HSE Specialist will be dealing with several managers and employees' therefore a strong background working with cross-functional teams is a must. This role will entail a high level of activity as the Dickinson area has close to 800 employees.
The HSE role will be critical to the overall success of the area. We will be moving into a shared facility in the spring/early summer and there will be much to do regarding the move, facility abandonment, and more.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
·Coordinates and executes environmental and/or safety programs to ensure practical, cost-effective measures are in place within the work place, and a Safety Culture exists to ensure employees are accountable and responsible for health, safety and environmental conditions and practices.
·This position will work to ensure compliance with government laws and regulations and BHI policies.
·Responsible for more difficult, complex assignments involving performing audits and inspections.
·Assists management to develop procedures based on regulatory and/or client requirements.
·The HSE Specialist assists in responding to inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies and/or community groups. Also handles special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATION:
·Thorough understanding of regulations and the regulatory process and strong analytical skills required.
·Strong verbal and written communication skills.
·Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management. Strong presentation skills.
·Strong work ethic/teamwork attitude
·The ideal candidate must express interest in being available and "getting the job done"
EDUCATION
· Associates degree and 5-6 years experience
· Bachelor's degree preferred and 3-6 years experience.
· Associate level HSE Certification preferred.
