JOB TITLE: POWER & CONTROL SYSTEM SPECIALIST LOCATION: MIDLAND, TEXAS US LAND LIFT SYSTEMS product line provides artificial lift systems, including electric submersible pumps (ESP) and progressive cavity pump systems, as well as specific engineering, project management and well monitoring services. ESP systems can operate in harsh downhole environments that include high gas-to-oil ratio production, heavy oil, high temperatures and abrasive-laden fluids. ROLE SYNOPSIS Provides highly skilled product application recommendations on lift systems and power and control systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES - Distribution System Design /support/troubleshooting power quality analysis
- Grounding Application support and troubleshooting
- Power System Application
- Power System Harmonic Analysis and mitigation
- Measures product performance and recommends design modifications to existing products
- Tracks prototype applications, field test results, and new product market introductions
- Investigates unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative action
- Performs customer technical presentations
- Provides technical consultation to customers on product / performance issues
- May be lead engineering/technical position in local area
- Handles special projects, as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Completed Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 + years experience with in-depth knowledge of Artificial Lift products and services
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Highly skilled in multiple applications
- Able to identify the proper product and service for simple to complex applications
- Ability to work and communicate well with internal and external customers
- Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values
OTHER DETAILS - May require periodic travel including overnight stay
