 PROCESS ENGINEER (LNG) - Italy - Permanant
Main Job Function:
• To develop typical process engineering activities regarding LNG plants, with particular emphasis on project early stages (pre-feasibility and feasibilitiy). Specialist activities on projects in execution phase are also part of the job.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• To ensure technical integrity of LNG or cryogenic plants/units process design
• To ensure overall effectiveness and efficiency of process design
• To capture and disseminate the LNG process engineering knowledge, especially to younger professionals
• To supervise and direct Design contractors in the selection and design of corrected hydrocarbons processes in the project, leading towards optimization in terms of technology, time of implementation and cost. The focus is mainly on gas and condensate treatment and gas liquefaction.mixed fluid gathering, oil prcessing, gas processing, single and multi phase oil and gas transportation
• To lead the pre-feasibility and feasibility team of a complete LNG plant (both onshore and offshore), by coordinating other disciplines as required by the project needs, with particular attention to the process selection.
• To lead identification, creation and/or adoption of appropriate discipline engineering standards, with appropriate consideration of specific international standards and norms
• To identify and assess new technologies and systems to facilitate improvements in design and operability of the process systems for large-scale field development projects
• To manage and review output of conceptual design into feasibility studies, functional applications, and basis of design for onshore and offshore utilities related toproduction and processing facilities
• To undertake technical integrity and HSE review/audits
• To participate in process safety management, including hazard identification and HAZOP activities
• To advise on equipment standardisation, availability, and sparing philosophies in order to achieve max plant operability
• To verify and endorsing process simulations
• To produce and keeping updated the project basis of design/statement of requirements, including collation and analysis of relevant
• For selected development schemes, verifying the production of block diagrams, PFD's, heat, mass balances and process reports
• To verify the issuing of equipment lists, data sheets (including sizing of equipment and pipelines for each development scheme) and contributing to cost estimation
• To contribute to feed data-base about size, weight, cost and delivery, time of major equipment associated with onshore and offshore utility unit
• To lead and direct specialists and engineering contractor studies related to such unitskind of plants
Candidate Specifications:
• Relevant degree
• Oil & Gas surface production and facilities qualification
• Few years of engineering experience in Oil & Gas industry
• Some specific experience in hydrocarbons processing, process simulation and project development
• Couple years worth of experience in design and operation of high H2S content facilities with stringent HSE requirements
• Courses to have been completed on the following:
o Project management: project feasibility
o Plant and production system design
o Construction and installation
o Compliance
• Fluent English
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Good communication skills
• Innovative
