We are looking for experienced OIM's to join our expanding fleet of new Jack-ups Rigs operating in the South East Asia region.
The Offshore Installation Manager on a Jack-up is the person in charge of the MODU at all times and is responsible for the safety, health and welfare of all persons on board the installation. The OIM ensures that the client drilling objectives are met, giving due regard to achieving this in a safe and effective manner.
Job Description
- In overall charge of the MODU and responsible for its safe and efficient operation.
- Ensure compliance with approved Annual Plans, goals and objectives.
- Direct the training and emergency drills of all personnel aboard the MODU to ensure readiness for emergencies and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure mobilisation from one location to another are well planned and safely executed.
- Ensure personnel under your control receive appropriate training and development.
- Responsible for ensuring all personnel onboard undertake safety induction training and receive instructions on hazards relevant to their positions.
- Work safely, act safely and take reasonable care for personal health and safety, and that of others.
- Supervise drilling operations
Qualifications
- Must have a current certificate of proficiency by an accredited well control school supervisor's level.
- Must have appropriate training and hold qualifications approved by the Country or State of registration (OIM license).
- Must have all normal offshore related safety courses.
- Minimum of 5 years offshore experience as Rig Superintendent, Toolpusher on a comparable Jack-up unit.
