Position Summary:
The Procurement Material Management Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the inventory of raw materials. The role is responsible coordinating delivery and receipt of raw materials and documenting the information in the appropriate systems. This role also performs an end-of-month inventory audit to reconcile physical inventory with the two inventory systems.
Responsibilities:
The core areas of accountability include but are not limited to:
•Utilize CCS system's Material Requirements Planner module to assess raw material inventory requirements and warehouse supplies requirements.
•Document goods receipts and consumption of raw materials, catalyst, chemicals and packaging supplies.
•Monitor production schedule changes and delivery schedule changes. Identify potential problems and expedite materials as required.
•Input data related to new materials.
•Perform physical inventory of raw materials, catalyst, chemicals and packaging supplies monthly to ensure accuracy. Investigate and coordinate resolution of any variances.
•Coordinate physical inventory placement of raw materials.
•Perform duties as assigned in support of Product Warehouse operations.
•Perform all tasks and functions in compliance with safety and operating procedures.
•Monitor compliance of packaged raw materials and delivery service providers.
•Review and convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders while confirming the bid process, terms and conditions, insurance requirements, and transportation issues, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
•Provide analyses and recommendations to support purchasing and contractual decisions and process improvement.
•Maintain contract files and purchase order files and appropriate tracking system.
•Be a power user of purchasing software, and assist staff with same.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Technical
•High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
•Working knowledge and hands-on experience with MS Office programs.
•Four years experience in material handling/material management.
•Ability to review contract/procurement documents
•Ability to positively interact with staff and vendors / contactors.
•Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
•Trained in HAZMAT shipping.
•Must have valid drivers license and capability to obtain a TWIC
•Occasional overtime will be required.
Interpersonal
•Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
•Must be flexible and willing to handle a wide variety of responsibilities and take the initiative to manage tasks independently.
•Knowledge of CCS' organization and procedures a plus.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with individuals inside and outside the company.
•Professional attitude and demeanor.
•Ability to judge and prioritize workload.
•Capable of operating a forklift and lifting loads up to 25 kg.
