Title: Proposal/Estimating Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Salary: Competitive

The purpose of the role:
The Proposal Specialist position is responsible for successfully estimating and developing automation & industrial I.T. proposals. The successful candidate will show a critical eye toward processes and be able to revise them and generate buy-in amongst the organization. Given the growth of the company, this position will have strategic responsibilities and growth of processes and operational excellence will be entirely entrusted to the successful candidate. This position may require a staff, the successful BDM will be responsible for creating a business case for his/her region after establishing a successful track record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and deliver proposals;(60%)
• Update and revise proposal processes and continually improve sales operations;(30%)
• Become an expert in process technology and the oil and gas market; (10%)
EXPERIENCE
• Familiarity with business development in the industrial technology space, preferably in a professional services business;
• 4+ years of engineering experience operating within a process technology or innovative oil and gas services environment is a plus but not a requirement;
• Experience with estimating and developing automation engineering and industrial I.T. proposals;
• Experience with major oil & gas operators is a BIG plus;
• Experience within a sales team that produces and exceeds their goals consistently.
SKIILLS
• Extensive Microsoft Office skills, including the ability to create custom templates and work processes - Excel wizards and Visio designers a plus;
• Customer Relationship Management software experience, SalesForce.com a plus;
• A high work ethic, strong sense of independence, intense desire to prove oneself and a record of success is an great fit to our environment;
• Superior communications skills, well rounded in all aspects of matrix organization management and with the ability to empower and drive others to complete tasks
