Job Description:
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    • Produces design drawings of existing product improvements/upgrades and marketing/sales material input.
    • Product review and failure investigation, testing of new and existing products (field validation) as well as product failure prevention/mitigation.
    • Evaluates and briefs Courses Of Action of Nonconformance from supply chain of equipment issued to the fleet.
    • Performs flow evaluation of tools for various fluids' viscosities.
    • Convert drawings from CAD to 3-D software as needed.
    • Continually evaluates all elastomers in existing products and input for future products regardless of manufacturer.
    • Evaluates test data of chemical reactions to product elastomers as needed for well design; performs trend analysis.
    • Is assigned special engineering projects.
    • Conducts system reviews on product assembly, worker proficiency & competency and supply chain accuracy as it applies to operational demands.
    • Answers field calls for field services to remedy challenges present on work site.
    • Produces Root Cause when it applies to field failure of equipment or human error.
    • On location system reviews to evaluate procedures of field services.
    • Interacts with operations planners to meet customer demands.
    • Evaluates customer specs for tools and gives written feedback to operations planners.
    • Conducts formal training sessions to educate staff and employees on engineering issues that need cooperative mitigation efforts.
    • Serves as the senior reviewer of all fleet equipment Quality Books in written format and electronic files.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:

    • Possesses a Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or Polymer undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited US institution.
    • A Masters in Engineering is a plus.  
    • Other technical degrees will be considered based on work experience.

Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate Required:  

    • Is an energetic individual with specialized areas of concentration in the engineering field and possess advance knowledge of engineering software and programs.
    • Performs intense material.
    • Displays continual engineering growth and educates team on a common level.
    • Communicates very well throughout the company with relationship to Operations, Supply Chain, QA and management, his/her most desirable characteristic is "Cool under Fire".
