 Software coordinator, G&G applications
Location: Germany
Job description:
The main responsibilities for this position are to ensure efficient use of client existing G&G applications, as well as contributing to and executing plans for future improvements of the software portfolio. This includes to take part in continuous evaluations and prioritization of G&G applications regarding upgrades and/or new software/hardware, for the purpose of optimizing the G&G work flows. The job further requires to prepare tests, identify bottlenecks, and to ensure data compatibility between tools.
The work implies to be the primary contact towards software suppliers and to have close cooperation with application owners, super-users and clients IT- manager. Also, the position involves participation in the yearly budget processes with respect to strategic planning of the software portfolio, new investments, maintenance and user training. The position will report to Exploration Manager, G&G Analysis and Support.
Job requirements:
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in geology or petroleum technology, with minimum 10 years experience in oil and gas industry. High-level understanding and practical experience from IT management and common suites of G&G software applications.
Must be eligible to work in the EU
