Department Overview:

A key member of Talisman's U.S. communications team, the U.S. Communications Advisor will proactively develop and implement internal communications strategies specific to the U.S. The role is responsibility for internal communications, web communications, and marketing materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of all internal communications, specific to the U.S., through consultation with the Director of U.S. Communications
  • Proactively identify communication opportunities in the U.S. market and act on them accordingly (e.g. community events, association meetings, local/regional government forums)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications
  • 8 - 10+ years' experience developing communication strategies and executing within a complex organization
  • Experience must include strategic planning and communications planning

Candidate Profile:

  • Must demonstrate leadership competencies such as teamwork, creative problem solving and flexibility
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills are required - written, oral, and listening
  • Master writer / editor with the ability to translate technical concepts into plain, easy-to-understand language for different audiences
