Baker Hughes currently has a role for an assembler working on completion and production tools. The role will involve working across various product lines on a number of different complex tools.
Responsibilities include:-
· Assemble and test complex components in accordance with engineering drawings, tech units and manuals.
· Perform functional testing on assemblies.
· Test assemblies per customer and/or division criteria.
· Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards.
· Adhere to work instructions, procedures, processes and documentation relating to the assembly department.
· Apply settings, calibration and maintenance of assembly tools.
· Perform torquing of various components.
· Distribute quality notifications (qn's).
· Ensure the work area is maintained in a safe and proper condition through correct handling and storage of equipment and tools
· Ensure HS&E policies and procedures and Quality System Procedures are followed at all times.
· Ability to recognize, solve & implement required changes for Assembly related problems.
Experience Required
· Mechanical background
· Experience of mechanical assembly
· Functional testing skills
· Ability to read engineering/component drawings in English
· Strong work ethic
· Ability to work in a team and use own initiative
· Ability to work safely and to ensure the safety of others
· Oilfield experience would be an advantage but not a necessary requirement
