In addition to reservoir engineering, GCA advises a wide group of clients in exploration, reservoir evaluation, field development, drilling and production, pipeline, refining and LNG projects throughout the world. GCA has principal offices in London, Houston, Moscow, Buenos Aires, Singapore and Sydney. Responsibilities:
- Undertake geological / geophysical interpretation and analysis using appropriate techniques and technologies to provide world class solutions for the client.
- Provide geological / geophysical input to multi-disciplinary projects, from frontier exploration through discovery appraisal to field development and production. This will include resource estimation and auditing using the correct tools for the individual project.
- Present data, interpretation and reports to clients either individually or as part of the larger project team. This requires excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Advise clients on geoscience matters, often at a senior level.
- Act as Project Manager on some projects, maintaining frequent contact with the client and ensuring adherence to timescales and budgets.
- Support colleagues by assisting them with their geoscience knowledge.
- Mentor the development of less experienced geoscience colleagues.
- Assist the new business development team as required.
- Attend conferences and forums as needed and serve as an ambassador for GCA.
Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrates ability to perform geological interpretation and analysis independently.
- Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, petroleum geology, introductory geophysics, geophysical mapping and interpretation and subsurface mapping techniques.
- Ability to advise clients on geosciences matters and provides solutions.
- Proven workstation experience.
- Ability to utilize subsurface Software effectively including Petrel.
- Ability to interpret seismic files, with experience delivering results.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Geology/Geoscience, or similar.
- Currently seeking candidates for multiple opportunities varying in experience.
