Role Synopsis
At Baker Hughes, the Regional Technical Manager, is responsible for providing technical, sales and operational support and services for pressure pumping - cementing for a number of African Geomarket operations.
Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring technical training and transfer of technical knowledge/expertise to Geomarket Sales and Operations.
Provide technical support for new cementing product launches and new service introductions.
Responsible for product testing and analyzing and resolving customer complaints related to design.
May plan and manage Region Fleet/Assets (tools, trucks, etc) and be responsible for adequate distribution and allocation of the resources/assets.
Collaborate with Geomarket Sales and Operations, Region Marketing/BD to develop and champion product design improvements.
Ensures proper planning and application of technology.
Administer and audit key technical processes.
May assist Geomarket Sales in the preparation of bids and in engaging customers for input in the design of products and services.
Train Geomarket Sales and Operations and customers on new products and services.
Collaborate with Geomarket Operations and Sales to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction and meet growth targets in Geomarket.
Experience / Background
Degree or equivalent in related subject (i.e. engineering, petroleum) is preferred
Solid and proven experience within oilfield services
Extensive technical background and focus on cementing services, including deepwater cementing
Experience in other Pressure Pumping product lines is a plus
Field operations experience (ideally offshore)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Leadership qualities and capabilities
Computer literacy
